Nextel Subscription Question

I called nextel about the service needed to work with accutracking. i was told that i need a regular service plan plus the data plan. is it possible just to get the data plan without the voice?? all i need it for is for gps. is there ne way to get around this problem. i dont want to pay 40 bucks just for the gps

You can try to ask for the developer plan which is a data only plan but YMMV.
