Well, I canceled Total Connect, and signed up for Nextel Data Access last week.
Accutracking is still working, so it would seem that it is a "compatable plan".
As for the $10.00 for unlimited data usage part, I will anxiously await the first bill!

Anyone have knowledge of the new data plans? I have Total Connect 1 Meg plan. It seems that that plan is no longer available, but perhaps has been replaced with Nextel Data Access. It also seems that this plan has unlimited data access with the same $10.00 price per month. I will transfer to this pl...

Blue Lines
For my vote - I am not a fan of the blue lines. It just seems to clutter up the map, with little usefull flow. The Google maps themself, have been a huge improvement. Love the product, and will love it either way, but much more a fan without the lines.

One word of caution, get more than the 1mb data send. If you don't ,you will get hit with a huge bill for going over the 1mb limit. (I think it is something like .01 cent for every kb over. I think I opted for 5mb and everything is okay now. Has anyone ever gotten an explaination from Nextel as to ...

I have confirmed that total connect is working by going to the trial website that is under the net menu on my i58sr phone. I can access data from ABCNEWS.COM. The Java App gets positions with no...

High packet usage ?
I just got my first full monthly statement, and am concerned about the data packet usage shown. I know how many "sends" I used during the billing period and using 60 bytes, get ~185,000 bytes. (60 * 60 per hour * 1.75hrs per day * 30days) The bill shows 1,965,555 bytes with a $9 overusage ...

E-W scaling on Overview Map?
I've noticed for some time that the Overview Map, when looking at a range of points, overextends the East and West coordinates, while the North and South are spot on. The mapquest, aerial, and topo are correct, and the single, Last Reported point is also always perfect. Since this has been going on ...
