Blue Line???

Post by mrberrie-7 »

Hello, I don't quite understand the purpose of the "blue line" that now shows up on the maps. It does NOT stay on the streets that were used. What is its purpose? If it followed the street, it would be very useful but until then, I would rather see the big red ballons. :(

The "Connect the dots" line has never followed the street. It is not possible with the current system. As you travel a farther distance, the accuracy of the blue line is better.

If the connected points cause more trouble then help for most users, we would like to know. Think about it again, it would actually outline your trace as they connect the dots in order. :) Without it if you were not travelling in a simple obvious route shape (long straight line, circle...) you would only see some dots jammed together.

I think that the blue lines not following the street is ok. Obviously it would be better if it did, but I would rather see what we have than see nothing. IMHO of course.. :)

Blue Lines

Post by robbie_tar »

For my vote - I am not a fan of the blue lines. It just seems to clutter up the map, with little usefull flow. The Google maps themself, have been a huge improvement. Love the product, and will love it either way, but much more a fan without the lines.

I like the Blue Line ... really doesn't clutter up the map ... and as long as the balloon appears on the last point it makes it easy to follow the track ...
