Hello,
I haven't purchased a phone yet, I am still checking things out. But I would like some advice.
My husband drives an 18-wheeler. How ard is it to hide one of these phones on a big truck?
It will have to be wired in somehow for continuious power since he is gone for days at a time.
Can anyone give me any suggestions or ideas on how this can be done?
I am not very techy so I need all the help I can get.
Thanks

Hardwiring Phone to Truck
It is a very easy install. You will need a car charger with the IC Chip (keeps battery from over charging) Next get some red & black 18 gage wire. Next take the car charger apart and solder the red 18 gage wire to the red wire you will find inside the car charger then do the same with the black wire. Now place a small strip of black electric tape around the red wire. You need to do this to help keep them from touching each other. Then put the car charger back together with the wires coming out from each side of the charger. The red wire needs constant power and the black wire is for ground. Before you start it would be good for you to take the phone turn it on and place it in the spot your thinking of placing it to make sure it can find the satellites. If you get a fix then wire your phone to this spot. Now if the phone is going to be expose to the weather you will need to place it inside something that is waterproof. I have setup a number of units just like this. I wire all my units to the inside of the front bumper I live here in Houston, Texas and we get are share of bad weather and the units do great.
Soldering, IC chip, taking apart..what? dude you are scaring a poor woman away from traking her cheating ass husband aren't you? don't worry mam, I can show you a much easier way. Purchase from radio shak a cigarrete lighter adapter, the one with red and black wires at the other end of the cig plug. Screw the red to the red battery, black to the black battery side and you're done. Next plug the phone in as if you were on a regular plug and hide the Sanababish inside the engine somewhere. Sorry my english very bad, but explanation sells a little better than last poster...LOL..its simple, really.
