I am using a i730 iden phone im having dificulty getting started and getting the software on the phone for gps tracking from accutracking.com i have the data cable cable and i have the data package from nextel does anyone have the patience to walk me through getting this working

Key is getting the application up to the Mobile Application Manager and getting it assigned to the phone. Just bought a new Nextel i850 with a data plan and while I was able to upload the accutracking aplication it required a tech support call to Nextel to get the application properly assigned.

Once you get it up there, follow the step-by-step instructions in the subject line URL, and you're there. If you get an error message about unable to send data and you know you have the right data plan, delete the accutracking application from the phone, downlad it again, and reinstall. I got a similar message and found the solution on the forum using the search function. Had something to do with an improper install sending corrupted data. I have also read that if you add the data plan to an existing account it can take a couple of days for it to actually start working.


Works pretty well once you get the application installed, the account set up, and have a decent view of the sky.
