Obvious to the user that the phone is a tracking device?

Post by Friday »

Hypothetically, let's say I want to track my wife's location, and that she isn't necessarily in her car most of the time (such that merely tracking her vehicle isn't good enough). Say her cellphone needs replacing, and I supply her with a Boost Mobile i425 with the Accutracking software installed and enabled. Is the software discreetly buried in a menu somewhere and password protected? Or would it be obvious to her that I'm attempting to track her movements?

No its not - when the phone boots up, its clearly visable - and any one or two keystrokes will turn it off.

Not something you want, if the person does not know they are being tracked.
