phone not working
There is a system-wide problem with GPS and NEXTEL Falcon phones. No one is able to get a fix.
Nextel and Motorola are aware of the issue and are working twards issuing a fix. In fact they already have a working beta of the software fix. Most likely this fix will involve a trip to the NEXTEL service center for a software upgrade.
Once this fix is publicly available, I will post the information here.

27 days
i hate to ask you, since you said youd post it when there was an answer, but its been 27 days since the last fix, is there any solution to this problem?
i needed gps, thats why i hooked up to accturacking. it has been a wonderful service up until 27 days ago, when i could no longer get a fix. is this at all the fault of accutracking, or would this happen to every i730 hooked up to any gps service??
anyway, if there is no fix, then im just checking in to make sure.
thanks for your time and help

Sorry. The fix was released on the Iden website just the other day. (I have not done my phone yet..)
This is totally a phone related issue, and any gps software will cause an error until the phone is updated.
The easiest way to get your phone fixed is to go to any NEXTEL service center, and ask for the i730 GPS fix to be uploaded to your phone. (The other way is to have a data cable, and the executable fix file from the Iden site.) You really want to get the fix from an authorized service center, as NEXTEL is keeping track of all of the updated handsets, and when the critical mass has been reached, they will switch back to E911 phase 2.

kpapula, if you have followed some online phone forums you would know why. It's your phone. Your phone's GPS died. Look at here: http://www.howardforums.com/showthread. ... did=413425
