there is a problem with my i730 since last week- because of the firmware issue i suppose.
to fix the problem, i tried restarting the phone- turn off then on.
when i turned the phone back on- it flashed the accutracking screen, then proceeded to try to get a signal, which it never did. i was outside, where it normally gets a signal, but it would not move onto the next screen. now the phone is still at that screen (a few days later) and i cant use my phone.
how do i fix this problem, and otherwise, how do i use my phone when accutracking is not working, and how do i uninstall accutracking if i cannot go beyond this screen??
thanks for your help
software problems
You can keep the phone indoors (make sure GPS satellites are not visible), and remove accutracking from autostart list.

July 23, 2004, A-GPS Issue Update: Solution Has Been Identified By Motorola Engineers. Nextel Supporting Testing.
Motorola recently became aware of a software issue affecting assisted global positioning satellite location (A-GPS) services for the Motorola i205, i305, i530, i710, i730, i733, i736 and i830 iDEN? phones. Motorola has advised us that they have have identified the root cause of this issue and are currently testing a remedy. Nextel is working with Motorola to ensure that the testing confirms that this remedy fully addresses the issue.
Once this testing is complete, Nextel will roll out a program to deploy the new software for the phones. We will share more details once the plan is solidified.
For customers using the Motorola i58sr and i88s iDEN phones, the A-GPS commercial location services capabilities are fully functional. Additionally, all of Nextel's Motorola iDEN phones continue to be fully operational with regard to other services, including - cellular phone calls, Nextel Direct Connect? calls, voice mail, Caller ID and wireless data applications such as text messaging, email and SMS. Nextel will continue selling its current line of Motorola iDEN phones and will update any functionality as required to address this issue.
Nextel's E-911 Phase I service continues to be available throughout the country, transmitting the caller's cell phone number and nearest cell site to Public Safety Answering Points - or 911 - call centers. Phase II capability will be reestablished once the new A-GPS software is deployed. Nextel and Motorola are working around the clock to expedite the process.
