Using Bluetooth and Web Access...
Using Bluetooth and Web Access...
I have a field service business in which my employees use a Palm TX to enter data into and it is sync'd up to the main database using the internet connection and bluetooth on a cell phone. I want to add GPS tracking. I am looking into getting the i335 because it can connect to the Palm to the internet via bluetooth. Can I use this phone for my purposes?
Re: Using Bluetooth and Web Access...
If you can verify the Internet connection you get through Palm with BT is the same as the direct connection, AccuTracking should be able to send data out. I highly doubt it though.

I am not sure that I stated my question correctly. I just want to be able to use the internet on the phone (for my palm Tx with bluetooth) and GPS (Accutrack) at the same time.ATSupport wrote:If you can verify the Internet connection you get through Palm with BT is the same as the direct connection, AccuTracking should be able to send data out. Re: Using Bluetooth and Web Access...
I understand that you want to have your Palm activated with a data plan and the i355 not activated, then install AccuTracking on i335 and let i335 connect to Palm via BT?
Or vice versa?

Re: Using Bluetooth and Web Access...
Yes, I think that's correct. The Palm Handheld TX is going to be accessing the internet real time via bluetooth to the i335. The i335 will have Accutracking on it so that I can also take advantage of the GPS feature of the phone to track employees. Does that make sense?ATSupport wrote:I understand that you want to have your Palm activated with a data plan and the i355 not activated, then install AccuTracking on i335 and let i335 connect to Palm via BT?

Re: Using Bluetooth and Web Access...
1) Palm activated, i35 not activated: I am not sure the internet connection will work.
2) i335 activated, Palm unactivated: I think AccuTracking should work.
Better test it out though.
