Is it possible to hook the phone up to the car so that i will get a text message if my car alarm goes off?

Anything is possible. You would need to control serial output - too much work for your cause.

You would be better off being able to get a message if your car left a fence, or speed settings - but that would be cumbersome to turn on and off every time you moved your car. And it would only work if they "stole" your car.

You could have it set as a speed alert - and turn the phone one when you leave your car, and off when you get back in - that would send a text message if your car drove away - but not if the alarm went off...
