AT,
I recharged my account on line, it was supposed to expire on the 2nd Feb.
I am thinking, could that be the reason for the unit not responding for the last 15-16 hrs?
Reboosted the Phone as well for $ 15, so that should not be the issue...
Not reporting for 15 hrs now

Expiring AccuTracking account should not affect the phone at all. The phone still reports data online for expired accounts. Only the data is not viewable until the account is recharged.
However, from my experience, if your Boost minutes were out and you reboosted it, you'll need to reboot the phone to have the phone pick up the data plan. If you reboost before Boost minutes is out, rebooting the phone is not necessary.
I also remember you have the same "not reporting" issue in another thread. If you have the phone on hand, please see this troubleshooting page: http://support.accutracking.com/kb/article/000072

The reboost was done well in advance, I still had 10 days on the account on the boost plan.ATSupport wrote:Expiring AccuTracking account should not affect the phone at all. The phone still reports data online for expired accounts. Only the data is not viewable until the account is recharged.

recharged on your end as well before time.
The other time, all I did was rebooted the phone, and it started working better than before, but the SAT was stuck at 1 red bar, all the time, although it did keep on giving the updated till yesterday 1759 hrs.
I will try to reboot the phone again, it is not very accessible all the times... and I will post the result here.
Thanks for your help...

Came back and stopped again
AT,
There seems that something is going on that is confusing, yesterday after 17-18 hrs the unit startrd reporting again, gave all the cached locations since it shut down last night, and again stopped updating at 1800 HRS.
This happened yesterday as well. The unit stops responding around 1800 HRS.
Can you see what is going on???

Maybe, but I have had location points from this area before.ATSupport wrote:Glad to hear it's back reporting. Is that because the vehicle moves into a specific area every day at 18:00pm, where the cell signal is so weak that the phone cannot connect out?
The thing is that the unit moves out of this area in the morning, and I used to get location updates all day starting usually about 0800 hrs.
But for the last few days, the location is not updated at all all day.
Yesterday, the unit started reporting at about 1200 pm, then uploaded all the cached records since 1800 hrs the previous day.
This has happened 2 days in a row now.
Right now, there are no updates and it has been about 15 hrs and I know for a fact that the unit is in an area from where I get updated every min.
Do you have contacts with the Boost Mobile folks, can you find out if the Internet services on their network are down or having issues??? I know that is not what you deal with, but your service is completely dependent on the boost folks....
The thing is that I have had locations from this area, so the signal is there...but this thing seems to stop around the same time everyday....

This is for resolving issues.........
We have no special channel with Boost. But if the data are cached and reported later, I am almost sure it's the cell signal or data plan issue. If the area is not far from you, you may take another Boost phone with you and actually drive there during that time to check out the signal or data plan.
