gps out of date

I keep getting this error on startup. Gps out of date? Then the phone askes if i want to buy?
Does anyone know what this is? and what it will cost to buy this gps update? I just want it to go away!

I told it go ahead and update cause I didn't know any better and now the GPS doesn't work at all
