the wiredest thing happen today... i got fences set so when it leaves an area to go off with a text and an email.. well today she left and nothing happen ... she drove 23miles and i didnt get 1 location... i got it set on smart sending at 3 minutes apart.. but when she left me i got a text and an email saying she left the fence.. BUT SHE WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME and the time was off by 1 hour... then she drove 40 more miles and entered a fence and then i got a message and text saying she entered... can some 1 help me understand whats wrong :?:

I don't quite understand your question but I guess it's about geofence alert time offset. SMS messaging can be delayed depending on the carrier. Email should be more on time. If you need more help, please email support(at)accutracking.com with your username and tracker ID.

the question is how was she able to leave a fence drive 23 mile without a single trac...if i have it set on 3 min smart sending.. normally i can see the whole trip.. like tonight its back working fine

There could be not being able to fix the position due to bad GPS view.

ok i'm going to try and move it to a different loaction in the car to see if that help... be cause what i did was use my second unit and that 1 i had sitting on the seat to see if i could pin point the location.. and it worked fine... sent every 3 minutes like it's supposed to.. i will post back to let you know what happens 8)

ok this is what i've found out when the unit (i 415 ) does not send data it has between 8 and 10 satalites..... but i still dont know why it happens... i held 1 in my hand the whole route just to see and it says no fix.. but the area is clear 2 miles down the road ... so my question is this .. is there that you know of a blockage of some sort because from to savannah to helton head is 33 miles i get a fence alert when it leaves and when it returns but almost nothing in between... i can send the file so you can see what i see.. :roll:

The GPS fix can be affected by many factors - surrounding environment, positioning, and hardware. Usually the first GPS fix is the toughest to get. I'd think you can try the "Hot GPS" option ON next time and see if that helps.

this is just aN UPDATE AS TO HOW IM COMING ALONG..i got to the unit and changed it from 3 minutes to 2 minutes and now i see more of the points that it wouldnt pic up before... im going to try this out for a few days and see how it works.. and if this fails then i will try your suggestion... thanks :wink:
