I only asked because according to the Nextel J2ME Developer's Guide, the i285 supports the Location API and most all of the other APIs that the Accutracking app probably uses. Of course, I did read it, so that doesn't necessarily make it true. You know what they say about believing everything you read...
No offense taken. I'm just curious why it doesn't work, as the literature would seem to indicate that it would. The original post was from 10/2004, so maybe there's been an update to the phone's firmware that might make a difference.
Try the i710 build. i285 is not on our supported phone list but i710 build should be compatible. And last time I replied this thread, we had no i710 support yet.
Was anything found on the i285? I'm curious about if it works with the i710 code.
I am considering getting a Boost i285 and cable, and trying that out as a portable GPS tracker. I still haven't researched enough to figure out exactly how I'm going to load the application since I wouldn't be able to use Nextel's web based loader, but it looks like it is possible.
