- "Auto interval" option: automatically double reporting rate when phone is moving faster than 30mph; double again when over 60mph.
- When "smart sending" option is enabled and the phone is not moving, force sending data every 30 minutes so the phone is not completely silent and invisible.
- (iDEN phones only) Added "Low signal mode" option to alleviate the "phone hangs after running for about 2 weeks" issue when Nextel coverage is low. This is not the ultimate solution since the root cause of the hang is in the phone firmware. This option is not available on BlackBerry version since BlackBerry has no such problem.

Could you specify which phones the upgrades will work on,That way people with 88's or 58's wouldn't be downloading upgrades that don't apply to their phone's. Thank You

All of the last updates should apply to all phones.
We'll need the pro's to validate this, but based on the changes, I would think that they are universal.

Of course all of the changes made in between major versions would be small, or they would warrant a 1.5 or even a 2.0

No. 1.4.4 will supercede these versions, but include the enhancements that they added. Just get the latest.

The free version is only on maintanence updates and there will be no new features adding to it. The latest free version is still v2.3.

All v3.x and up are for the commercial service only.

I just downloaded the Accutracking for the blackberry. Nice program to start with. However, it needs some work.
The user interface and tracking features from the blackberry need to be improved.

1. GPS location based on how many satelites.
2. User Interface on phone that shows the tracking information for others on Account from the Blackberry. Not needing to log into website to get it.
Basicly, the same information shown your phone, being shown on the other users phones that are on the account.
3. Automatic tracking update for user on account when another user on the account requests it from their blackberry.
4. Tracking History shown on a map on your blackberry just like on the website. Google Maps for Mobile is a great exmple.

I am sure to come up with other ideas and have to backtrack and read some of my past ideas to jog my memory.

Thanks once again for putting this out, but since I have to now pay for it, I believe that a better tracking solution from the phone is needed.

Thank you very much for the feedback!

Unlike on iDEN phones, there is no way to get the satellite number information on BlackBerry because it does not provide such data.

Questions 2~4 are all very nice features related to peer tracking from the phone. I don't have an ETA but we'll work on them.

If you go to options then go to location based services
The following information is listed
Privacy setting
GPS Location with the following information
Latitude
Longitude
Last Fix Time
Number of Satellites
Accuracy

So yes the information is there. And the number of satellites is listed.

I hope this helps and can add this info to your program. Thanks for the quick reply.

Which version is the latest version? When I download accutracking it says version 2.3.0 when installed, in about accoutracking it reports 2.2.0 any any idea of when a new working version will be released which might report locations? Having 6 blackberrys on the accutracking pay service is a bit fustrating when they only work a few minutes out of the day but am being charged for them

The Blackberry version is undergoing changes for a few issues. See http://forums.accutracking.com/viewtopic.php?t=809

The v2.3.0 is the latest for Blackberry. 2.2.0 is a typo in the software I think.
