I seem to have a problem with the accutracking java app hanging after about 48 hours, i have connected the phone to an "always hot" power source on my car. after it hangs, i look at the phone and it still sais "sending data" as opposed to "sent data". if I exit the java app and start it back up again, it starts working again. I have an i265 phone with smart sending on and it's set for 2 minute intervals.

This is a problem plaguing most of us I think. I have the same problem even with an updated i415 software version which addresses this problem. I think it may be a network issue and not application related, just my opinion. I too have to reset mine after some time when it gets stuck in "sending" and it doesn't track any longer. Although 48hours sounds a bit too often, mine tracks ok for a few days some times 2 1/2 weeks until it hangs. Try re-installing the app fresh again, that may help.

Jose1392, did you have another hang? I remembered you last hang was due to an unsolicited SMS message (viewtopic.php?t=646)

cheshire_smile, if you are on the free tracking account, try to install the i415 version on your i265.

I've reset the phone, Now i'm just waiting to see how long it goes before it hangs again. I miss spoke earlier, exiting and restarting the app didnt work very well, I only got updated locations when i first restarted the app, and only when the car had been sitting still for hours, last night i checked the phone and the app had been suspended, but there was no indication of missed phone calls, or messages. this time i shut the phone off, and restarted it. If it happens again, i will try installing the i415 version.

AT support, yes, this hang was about 2 or 3 days after the one you and I had discussed after my original posting. This hang was stuck in "sending" with no other signs of any chirps, wrong number or spam txt message of any sort not like the last one which looked like the network was waiting for my reply if you may recall. I reset on Saturday 4/8 and kicking fine today but will post when it hangs if you'd like. I'm in a DC suburb with good nextel and GPS sat coverage.

Thanks.

Jose

Just for the sake of keeping track. The phone "hunged" again with the last fix at 9pm ish on 4/20.. that's 12 days without a reset... I wish it could go a little longer than that.. I'm sure its not too much application related but a combination of Java (memory leaks)/network/phone firmware/ spam perhaps....I wonder if I'm the only one? I don't see any more posts with this complain, is every one just resetting I wonder...

I, too, have this problem with i265 phones. I am using the premium service and with the phones hanging several times a week, I question whether or not to begin paying for the service. Usually when a phone hangs, it is also stucking "sending". Is there a fix or something I can try to remove this error?

Thanks.

Other information from you will be helpful: was it being used in poor Nextel coverage area? How many bars do you ususally see on the phone?

Mine was stuck in sending also, however it looks like it was, again, waiting for a response. The message on the phone was "New voicemail message, do you want to hear now?" and the options were yes or no. I never responded and went ahead and rebooted the phone and it was back to its old self. I really can't tell if this message coincides with the the time the last fix was done. I called Boost a long time ago to disable my voicemail account as I don't use this phone for VM messages and they did but somehow it must be back again.
