I see on the home page that a pda can be used for tracking. What make and model is recommended and is PalmOne Lifedrive Mobile Manager a option?

That description is outdated and was for the tracking page before using Google maps. Since Google maps are heavily java scripted and not many PDA browsers have nice support for js, you cannot track on PDA now. We are considering develop a WAP site for mobile devices.

I am not sure I understand the reply. Can you use a smartphone, any particular smartphone to tract another smartphone. What does google have to do with this system? I assume you can track the smartphone on a desktop? How many smartphones can you put on this system. How much privacy do you have and security. If you wanted to post the tracking information for the smartphones in the field is it fairly easy to post the information with the map on a web page?

There's no built-in function to track one phone from another one. To do that, you'll have to visit the accutracking website (which uses Google maps) from your phone/PDA browser.
Right now only Nextel iDEN phones are trackable by AccuTracking.
