I stumbled across this service and have a few questions.

This summer I'm going to be traveling into Colorado's backcountry and I think it would be really neat if people could follow my progress online. Here is a small list of questions that I came up with.

1. What would be the best possible phone to do this with?

2. What happens if the phone doesn't get signal? Can the information still be transmitted?

3. Can I integrate the maps into my own website?

4. Can you use this service with a laptop GPS system?

Any NEXTEL phone that has JAVA Apps.

2. What happens if the phone doesn't get signal? Can the information still be transmitted?
No. You need Cell service to transmit a location

3. Can I integrate the maps into my own website?
Yes. Check my Locate Me link.

4. Can you use this service with a laptop GPS system?
No
