Those are all navigation packages.. you want "Total Connect" Network access.
Just call 1-800 639 6111 and have then add it to your accont.
(Tell 'em Skibum sent you)

They used to have some smaller plans. Now only 'unlimited' plan.

Anyone have knowledge of the new data plans? I have Total Connect 1 Meg plan. It seems that that plan is no longer available, but perhaps has been replaced with Nextel Data Access. It also seems that this plan has unlimited data access with the same $10.00 price per month. I will transfer to this plan (If it is not automatic), as I would love to have more KB's available, and not have to "ration" my sends, but I don't want to cancel Total Connect if the new plan is not what it seems, or is not what is needed for Accutracking.
I will call Customer service, but this forum is a far more reliable source of information.
Thanks,
Tom R.

I'd be interested in hearing what you find out. I see that same plan on the Sprint site, but it's not clear to me if the unlimited data access applies to data transmission by a Java app on the phone. It only talks about data transferred from a PC/PDA connected to the phone. Frankly, I'm not sure how they would know the difference, or why they would even care. I tried to talk to their first level phone sales and they were reading the web page to me. I should have known better...
I'll see what I can learn from our Nextel rep.

Well, I canceled Total Connect, and signed up for Nextel Data Access last week.
Accutracking is still working, so it would seem that it is a "compatable plan".
As for the $10.00 for unlimited data usage part, I will anxiously await the first bill!

Our Nextel rep said she hadn't been notified of the change

, but said she will definitely look into it. I imagine those reps with a bunch of 50MB plans in their portfolio aren't too happy about this change.

They got me for $600+ one time. I cried like a baby for a whole month.

We got our phones switched over to the unlimited plan and all seems to be working well. I still hear comments from people in the biz that they haven't hear about this new plan and it's been available for over a month.
