Latest version will not work
Latest version will not work
I downloaded the latest version of accutracking to my BB 8310. Whenever it tries to send the data a screen pops up saying "The application AccuTracking has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy." I've tried this before and had this happen and just went back to a previous version which works fine.
Re: Latest version will not work
what's the version number of the working version? so I can compare what's changed since.

Re: Latest version will not work
Yes there were changes that could affect Blackberries on corporate BES network. Since v3.5.3 we added support for "auto deployment and auto configuration via BES push", which requires addition permissions from the BES.
If you are the BES admin who can configure BES policies, please email our support for the required permission configuration change on BES. Otherwise, v3.5.3 would just work similar for you as the latest version.

Re: Latest version will not work
Then is the phone on BIS? BIS is basically a BES managed by RIM instead of by individual company.

Re: Latest version will not work
In the accutracking setup for "connection type" I have it set to auto. I tried all the options.
Re: Latest version will not work
Did you buy the phone used? Or was it ever on BES? Sounds like it had the IT policy before and didn't get cleaned up.

You'll need some hack on the phone. Try to search on Google with keywords like "blackberry remove IT policy"...
