Phone updates once every 5-10 minutes but set to 1 minute!

I have a blackberry 8310 with built-in GPS. The accutracking application on the device is set to update once every minute, but on the map, the points are only display once every 5-10 minutes. What gives? This makes the mapping useless in a city because the update frequency is too low. What am I missing?

GPS doesn't work well in downtown due to skyscrapers around. The slow update is from the poor sky view.

It had the same update frequency when I was driving on the highway with an unobstructed view. It would not update but maybe once every 5 or 10 minutes. And the GPS receiver on the phone in the city had a position fix when I checked, but your map wasn't updated. What do you think?

I checked your account and it appears the interval is roughly 5 minutes, which is the default value. So looks like the new value is not saved. Can you double check the "sending interval" setting on the phone, pressing the wheeler then choose "Save", then restart AccuTracking and open the setting page again, make sure "1" is still there.

I have the application on the phone set to every 1 minute. I also have "smart sending" checked. What does this do? Should it be unchecked?
Thanks!

Turn OFF smart sending... If your not moving fast enough - it won't send out you 1 minute updates...
