Tracking a child with autism

We had the wherify watch several years ago, and they stopped the service. Then they came out with the wherifone...which will be discontinued in the next few weeks according to a source at Wherify. We had the MIGO through Verizon between those two to track my son and his aides (who sometimes took him to places that I had requested they not go--) so now we are back to needing a simple phone and GPS locator that I can locate via the internet. (I have an Iphone so I can access basically anywhere) So--my question--is this going to be a viable replacement so that I can track my son and his aides? My son is becoming verbal and we like that he can call and talk to us too...(just wish there was a phone with less buttons like the wherifone so that it would be simpler for my son to learn)
Also, do I just buy the starter kit and then by boost cards to get the service paid for?
Thanks for any info....

Yes, thats pretty much it. If your going to charge the phone every day - the starter kit will work nice. You can expect about 8 hours of life from the unit.
Just keep it "Boosted" up with minutes, and AccuTracking service - and it will work great.
The boost phones are pretty easy to use - they do have buttons, but not too many more than a standard keypad. And you can lock some of the options too.

Explain how the fees work..I buy boost cards (or pay online) for the phone calls, and pay accutracking for the GPS capability? How does it break down?
I also looked at the Kajeet that is rolling out next week with their GPS and it looked a little more complicated for my son. This really looks like the best option if I can turn off some of the buttons.
Thanks for helping me!

You buy Boost cards and apply them to your Boost account (used to transport the DATA to AccuTracking site), don't put any more than $30 on your account - as they expire after 90 days - and you only need $31.50 per 3 months.
Then you pay AccuTracking either $6 or $8 per month for your plan - or pay a year in advance and get a big discount.
That is for the mapping, history, alarms, etc.
