AccuTracking

I replaced my cell with the AT&T Tilt (HTC 8925) running WM6. The Accutracking is working well, but battery usage with Accutracking running is greater than 15 percent per hour. Normal standby battery usage is less than 1 percent per hour. The phone also heats up enough to keep me warm throughout our cold Miami winters!

Anyone else noticing this huge battery drain using this or similar phones? Accutracking running on my i415 phones doesn't increase battery usage nearly this much (evev when the backlight is on).

[UPDATE] - I just got the response from dev that the WM phone API acts differently than iDEN phones and there would be no easy way to keep the GPS chipset idle to save power and at the same time keep GPS data accurate and up to date.
