Tracking packages

I am an independent courier and have an order tracking, account management system I wrote in PHP for my customers to use. I use accutracking on my phone so that during rush deliveries they can look up the status of their package and see exactly where it is and how fast it is going.
I seem to be a little bit alone on this. I read the forums here and hear stories of jealous husbands, PIs and bounty hunters, vigilantes trying to catch thieves.
Is there anyone else on here who uses GPS for purposes OTHER than SPYING? (covert surveillance, whatever you want to call it) It's making it really hard to pitch my system to other couriers when they're already paranoid about GPS due to stories such as these.
It really doesn't help when the software comes with a built-in function to snitch on drivers for speeding!
