history being deleted

Post by Supercalla »

My track history seems to be automatically deleting after a very short time. I tried to track a trip made 17 hours ago and can only find the current location. Ive tried "bracketing" the history interval all different ways from a week prior to a day later than the present time and the history is gone. All that is displayed id the current point and when the current point is updated the previous one seems to disappear in history.
Im using 1 minute sending intervals and have smart GPS disabled so there are lots of data points, am I exceeding my allocation and overrunnning a pointer?

1 minute sending intervals can be tough... I suggest if you HAVe to use such a short interval that you leave the GPS HOT.

I more usable interval as far as actually getting data is 4-6 minutes or so.

Supercalla, I checked your account and see history data started from 15:38 Nov 04 and tons of data every 1 minute since. Was that part of the trip? Where did you keep the phone during the trip? Trunk? Glove box? Back seat? I think the signal might be a problem. The history data on server will only be automatically deleted after 1 month.

Its probably a novice user issue. Ive got the I450 setting on the rear deck behind the back seat, under the rear window. The signal is not 100% with the phone laying flat. Ill fiddle around with the placement a bit more. Suspect the rear defroster grid may not be transparent at 1.2Ghz.
BTW, Great site and with a "Boost" account, you can not beat the price.
