I'd love to see some more info on the motion switches... It should solve a lot of the problems that people are having since rebooting the phone fixes them.

Rob,

Can you share where you got the motion switch and a pic? What are the power requirements for the switch? Can't you power it from the battery running the phone?

I have a 4 cell - 24000mAh battery pack that I have been using for my project. I have been working on the switch issue and was going to take power from the battery pack.

I am now starting to cell the battery packs, battery charger and a Pelican case with rare-earth magnets for those who are interested.

Also how about if you took one of the large 12v batteries for a cordless drill and hooked up the car charger to that instead of the car battery? I see that skill has 3.6 volt battery packs would those work wired into the phone battery? http://www.toolbarn.com/category/skil/036-battery/

I have been having a problem with someone stealing my hunting tree stands so I bought the starter kit with the i415 phone. I plan on putting the phone in a hard foam cushion where it can't be seen. Since the phone will not be moving and be in the same spot untill someone steals the stand how long do you think the battery will last?? Will it last longer since the phone is not moving?? I hope to get at least 2 days of life so I don't have to go everyday to change the battery?? Any helpful tips???

couldn't you just daisey chain 5 or 6 2400 mah batteries and fit them in a weather case to improve the power supply, and if so how long would 6 batteries last?
thanks
