TK373 backup battery and power draw

Post by HarryCW3 »

I have a camper trailer. For theft protection, I'm installing the TK373 in it, using an OBD cable adapter to connect power.

I'd also like to install a small backup battery pack, in case the trailer battery goes dead, or is disconnected.

Can anyone tell me what the power draw is for the TK373?

The TK104 that I'm replacing has an internal battery with a potential 'standby time' of 30+ days (obsolete since AT&T is stopping 2G support).

Thanks for any insight.

The tracker is rated 100mA at 12V.
