Where have I been

Post by Skibum » Mon Aug 22, 2005 1:06 pm

How hard would it be to hyperlink into a 4 or 8 hour history map? (Similar to the map that is hyperlinked to now from the web sticker. I am finding that people that I give guest access to are not savy enough to play with all the options. It would be great to have a hyperlink to the last 4 or 8 hour maps.

So it's a link to a hard-coded time range of history. I personally think not difficulty to do but will this be a commonly used feature?

I'm not sure... I was thinking specifically of my elderly mother. She likes to see where I am and where I have been, but does not understand the full tracking page. If it is too much trouble, don't bother. If it is not too hard, I think it would be helpful.

Anyone else care to comment?

Good news, not so quick but this has been implemented. Use it like http://www.accutracking.com/locpast.php ... e=1&hour=8

"type" is the map type, can be 1, 2, 3 (road, satellite, topo). "hour" is the history data range in past hours. Can be 1~12 hours.

Hope your elderly mother like it... 8)

Great idea ... but I get the following error --

"Warning: pack() [function.pack]: Type H: illegal hex digit / in locpast.php on line 174"

Able to reproduce in IE. Works fine under Firefox.
Will fix.

Update: Fixed. The reason was didn't include the VML namespace in the XHTML document for IE browsers.
