Sprint Shutting Down iDEN Network June 30, 2013

Post by ATSupport »

If you are NOT using an i### phone from Sprint or Boost Mobile, you can ignore this message.

Sprint/Boost Mobile iDEN Phone Users,

Sprint is shutting down the iDEN network no later than June 30, 2013. You will no longer be able to use your existing i### phone for phone calls or GPS tracking after that date.

To keep tracking, your options are:

1. Buy a starter kit from our online store.
2. Buy a new phone that's compatible with AccuTracking app. A few Boost Mobile CDMA phones are good replacement for your iDEN phones.

3. Buy a non-phone GPS tracker. We support dozens of trackers from many vendors. You'll need a SIM card with data plan for these trackers. We recommend PTel Sim Cards which is $4.99/each (either a Mini-SIM or a Combi-SIM is fine), and their Real Paygo Plan which costs 10 cents/MB data.
