Great! So can you post your current Nextel plan (The Internet Plan) so other users in Argentina may get a clue?

The installation guide on support page (http://www.accutracking.com/support.html) doesn't use webjal but the Nextel's MAM web page. Not sure if Telus in Canada has the same web page.

Please update to AccuTracking v2.0. The Smart Sending option in v2.0 will save more Total Connect bandwidth. For an explanation about Smart Sending, see the FAQ page.

If you are concerned about the Total Connect bandwidth used, please download the new AccuTracking v2.0 which has the Smart Sending option enabled by default. Assume the tracker is running 24 hours a day but only moving at daytime (8:00AM~8:00PM), smart sending will save 50% of Total Connect bandwidt...

it's 60 *BYTES*, not 60 KB. So you are pretty safe even if you set interval to 5 minutes.

You said it. We are moving to a 4-processor server. A notice has been posted on the tracking page and the new user registration has been suspended temporarily. Your phone might still be reporting to the old server until your DNS is propagated. A link to the old server has been provided on the tracki...

Hitting 'refresh' link on the website won't pull any data from your cell phone. The data is refreshed from the server database. So don't worry. :) In the next version, you will have an option of "smart sending" on the phone, which will save users like you (24 x 7 tracking users) a lot of T...

The server time has been synchronized.

The data sending usually takes 1~10 seconds, depending on the network speed.

Thank you,

Sorry I didn't do the full check. :o I did the same thing as you for the web data. 8) Reset the timer, went to Nextel wap net, checked the counter, it showed the KB amount. Therefore it records both traffic - web and total connect.

That KB timer is not for Total Connect data traffic. It counts the 'Web' traffic from the full/premium web service only.

ah... :D glad that you clearify yourself on those numbers and hope this clears others who had the same questions.

1MB is the Internet data transfer limit, shared by all programs on your phone that access the Internet.

60 bytes doesn't include the header size. Although we have never measured the acutal packet size, I estimate an additional 30 bytes or so. LES is contacted only when the AGPS data age is older than the max-age set in Nextel network. We don't know the extact amount of data exchanged but I expect it i...

Thank you for the great input :D . That works as autostart but won't work if you want to hide from somebody. The AccuTracking UI comes up after powerup.
