The cell tower option "on" would give you to tower that the phone is hitting - if the GPS fix was not valid - such as being underground, in a parking ramp, garage, etc... You must use caution with a cell tower fix - as it could be miles and miles off - depending on the terrain. Its good in...

I know we have had them so hot the LCD goes black, and so cold that it is very slow to change. You could check the specs on the /\/\ site, but they seem to tick along quite well. They are not covered by iDEN - so AccuTracking will not work... Sorry.

You would probably need a GSM based product.

The box is needed for protection of the unit - if you want to put it outside of the car - or keep it from casual viewers.

Its not needed if you don't mind anyone seeing it or having it scratched up.

You probably got a "multi-path" signal... GPS uses atomic clock type timing signals... which means you probably got a reflection of the signal - bounced off a wall or something and it shifted the expected receive timing by a milisecond and thats why it showed up all messed up. I am sure lo...
