Re: Daughter's cell phone randomly shows up in Monterey, Mexico

Technically duplicate ID COULD be the problem - as you can have 2 phones with the same ID - and it will do what you say. With that said, AT will not issue 2 of the same numbers, but someone could have still inputed the wrong number into their phone - even though they use a check-sum to keep the gues...

Re: not to smart

Not for consumers. Most "consumer" applications will allow the user to know they are being tracked.

Re: Java app that reboots phone...my i415 still hangs...

Motion sense is just one of the features of our motion board. One of the main features is to "clean boot" the phone. This occurs when the unit is idle - and tracking data is not needed. Once the "target" is on the move again - we place a clean boot of the Java application up and ...

Re: AT&T

What part of Maine are you in - what is the zip code? You can check the online map for iDEN coverage and see if it works for you - that would be the cheapest way.

Without iDEN coverage for Nextel, it starts to add up...

Re: i415 reboots over and over for no reason. Why?

Is it a stock i415 - or have modifications been made to it?

Does it give any other messages or just reboot when it wants to? I assume the battery is a good battery - but have you tried swapping them out?

Thanks

Re: Best postion for phone

I guess, technically, flat, face down, and laying out in the open - but I think you will find out that for the most part its going to be all the same. It will work pretty good in any diretion - as long as the phone is not burried in an all metal area - or in a heavy electrical interference area... E...

Re: Automatically starting the accutrack software on power up

The waY /\/\otorola has the JAVA apps, it can be killed by a user - and can not be "locked" or hidden - except from casual viewers.

Re: Can I use an ENFORA gsm2218-01?

If its GSM I doubt it - the AT application is built for JAVA - I don't see that the ENFORA supports the operating system needed for AT to function.

Re: Can I use a separate motorcycle/moped 12v battery...

You can use any 12v source - if your using a cig. charger with it. Don't you a regular lead acid battery - as it may leak, and eat through whatever it touches - and if it vents too much - it could cause a buildup of hydrogen gas. If you want to hide it - and go through all the effort, purchase one o...

Re: Is this possible

Anything is possible. You would need to control serial output - too much work for your cause. You would be better off being able to get a message if your car left a fence, or speed settings - but that would be cumbersome to turn on and off every time you moved your car. And it would only work if the...

Hot GPS is supposed to give you faster fixes. In real life it takes more battery, and will not give you a huge improvement.

Most people don't need it on.

You can swap the battery out at anytime you want - you will not lose your settings for volume etc - as they are non-volitile. Fiber optics? I don't know of any car that uses fiber optics for their stuff - so that is not a problem. You can hardwire it several different ways. Or you can use a larger b...

Nothing that I am aware of; I don't know much about the iPhone - like if it allows an API with integrated access to the GPS - if it has GPS. It may just have e911 GPS access - then you would be out of luck.

Good Luck; if you find a solution, advise.
