I think the problem with both of my questions was that I blew out the java executable changing the minute range while the program was running. I downloaded both files again, started the app, and everything worked great. Don't know if that makes sense, but that was what happened, and what fixed it ! ...

Is there any chance that the server is down now ???? Phone working great, but no activity on website.
