I now know that IT2ME has a Ping that you can do. I think the service is about $15.00 a month. I am not real familar with IT2ME yet. My fathers company uses it and has decided to try it. So he adds me in so I can learn too and visa versa.

Is Accutracking planning on active tracking options in the future?

Yes you need a public (and static) IP for the phone to receive request/command from outside.

AccuTracking is now only capable of passive tracking.

In order to do that your phone would need to have a static IP address..... more money... :(

Rather then have the phone identify its location every xx minutes can the phone be programed to identify its location only when requested (not by the user). In other words, if 10 phones are used with accutracking, can the home office go to the website and ping phone, say, #3 to identify its location. This would reduce the total connect charges if the $2.99 plan is purchased, and if only intermediate GPS used is required. :?:
