It's normal for non-3G phones because data and voice share the same channel and cannot work at the same time. For AccuTracking, this is usually not a noticeable problem if you have "hot gps" disabled. But if you have it enabled, the data connection is opened every 10 seconds to send the GPS data out and there's a greater chance for colliding with voice.
3G network has no such issue. Data and voice can happen at the same time.
