Turn OFF hot gps, and make your send interval a bit further apart. Battery life will improve. But what you see is about what you get.

Hot GPS does not allow the GPS receiver to "Cool down" between sends, thereby increasing battery consumption. It is not needed if you don't need positioning each and every minute.

Battery consumption with Accutracking

I am doing some field tests on my I58sr to determine what the battery life is/should be. According to my research the OEM high capacity battery has 300 min of talk time and 127hrs of stand-by time. Those numbers I am certain are not with GPS active. Does anyone have any details about the power consumption for GPS and the Accutracking application with setting variables?

My first test with Accutrack running with Smart Send ON and Hot GPS ON with 1 minute updates gave me about 9 hours of battery life.
