i425 has been discontinued by Motorola and i290 is the new replacement model.
GPS performance is about the same between the two because they use the same chip and similar antenna. One big difference related to AccuTracking is that i425 does NOT provide battery level and tower signal level data while i290 does. So on the tracking page, if you are using an i425, you won't see those data. Other data are the same (Lat/Lon, Altitude, Speed, Heading, GPS Level).
