FYI, this works GREAT. Just what I needed--now I can get exactly the info I want. Best of all, I can customize the contents so that if someone else sees an alert on my phone it doesn't look like a geofence alert.

You guys rock.

SWEET! That's exactly what I wanted. Thank you--I'm testing it out now. You rock! 8)

Update: it's done now. You can see the custom geofence alert settings in "Account" > "Advanced Account Settings". Thank you for the feedback!

We currently have customizable message for speed alerts ("Account" > "Advanced Settings") but not for geofence alerts. This is a good idea and we'll implement this later (ETA this quarter). Thank you very much for your feedback and I am glad you like the service!

Customize alert message contents?

Is it possible to customize the contents of the alert messages? As they stand right now they're kind of long for an SMS message and have more info than I need, some of it repeated.

I'd love to be able to choose a "terse mode" message--say, unit name, enters/leaves, fence name, and time. For example, If the unit was named "Kilroy" and the fence was called "Harbor" an ideal message would look like this: "Kilroy leaves Harbor at 13:42:16." That's it--no subject line calling it a Geofence alert, no other Geofence alert-identifying text (which I already know it is by the content of the message) no lat/long (not very useful on a phone) and no additional text.

Once again, I cannot tell you how satisfied I am with AccuTracking. Overall, it's one of the best products I have used in years. The feature set is just about right--not too much, not too little--and your installation instructions and support are top-notch. If you want a testimonial or customer quote I'd be happy to help.

Thanks!
