We are using both the i730 & i88s the i88's are the ones that have a much tougher time getting a lock the 730's even work in some indoor locations where the i88 will not work at all

My i730 has no problem aquiring signals on my belt while driving down the street. The GPS data may not be correct to a foot, but who's counting? :)

Maybe he is right technically but I don't see any difference.

i730 vs. i88s GPS acquisition

I was just talking a Nextel sales reps who said the i730 is alot worse at acquiring GPS fixes than the i88s/i58s phones are. According to him, they have different types of antennas, and the i88s/i58s can pick up signals if they're (for example) on the front seat of a car, whereas the i730 might have difficulty doing so.

Does anybody have any experiences with both phones who can validate if they've noticed a difference between the phones ability to acquire a signal? It doesn't have to be just in the car...I'm wondering about in general if there's a noticeable difference.

Thanks!
