REFLECTING OR INCORRECT GPS FIX

by rndacs » Wed Apr 13, 2011 8:56 am

I've been using AccuTracking on my wife's Blackberry Tour for several months now. When it works, it works great. However, I am noticing incorrect GPS fixes by thousands of miles off. This morning, we were in Quebec. Last week, in the middle of the Atlantic. When this occurs, the incorrect fix lasts for over 24 hours. I may understand this in cloudy weather but it has also occurred with clear skies.

I'd say reliability is about 60%. Support simply said this can be due to reflection but nothing else. Anyone have any suggestions? I'd like to keep it if it would only be more reliable. Also, it tends not to work during times you may need it the most, bad weather. :(
