Re: New Starter Kits Now Available

Well, after some experimenting, I still could not get the unit to stop updating and go to sleep. I set it to update continuously every 20 seconds and enabled the "Sleep by shock sensor" along with the "GPS drift suppression." Even with the drift suppression set, it would not stop updating and go to sleep, and my car was in the garage and the data showed the exact same GPS point for more than 30 minutes.

The only way I got it to stop automatically updating was to also set the "Smart track upon time and distance interval" (#6.3, page 16 in the booklet). I set it to 20 meters (distance123456 0020) and that works. No more continuous updating when the car is standing still. But I don't know why the "GPS drift suppression" did not also make it stop sending updates as that's what it's supposed to do. (#8, page 17 in the booklet).

So here are the commands I have entered, with 123456 being a generic password. Subsitute your own when entering:

fix020s***n123456
distance123456 0020
suppress123456
sleep123456 shock

Hope this helps someone else. 8)

What is the difference between that command and "fix020s***n123456"? I thought the above command would only give you 5 updates then stop. As I said, the manual is not clear about this.

UPDATE: Ok, I tried that, and it seems to work, but even though my vehicle is still at the moment, the location jumps around and makes the unit start tracking again for 5 more times. I've added the "GPS drift suppression" command and that is helping to eliminate false indications of movement.

For TK104, the command "sleep123456 shock" will activate the motion sensor. To set update at every 20s, text "fix020s005n123456".

I ordered and have received Accutracking's TK104 starter kit. I have it up and running, but I cannot figure out what commands to send it to make it:

Track automatically at 20 second intervals, then when no motion is detected, go to sleep, then wake up and start tracking when motion is detected.

I've set it to "Track with unlimited times" at 20 second intervals, and added a "Sleep by time command," and also tried "Sleep by shock sensor." I've also tried using the "GPS drift suppression," but nothing makes it go to sleep and it continues to track at 20 second intervals. Should I use the "Smart track upon time and distance interval" command? I'm confused. :?

Maybe I need to clear everything out and start over but can you tell me what to do, exactly, and in what order to make it do what I want? Also, the instruction booklet that came with it is quite vague. A full, detailed tutorial about how to set this tracker up with better explanations of the commands would be very helpful. Thanks for your help. :)

for the TK102-2, I asume i will do the same with your kit.. Well lets see which one works best.. I still need 3 more kits but i need to test these two first and go from there ..

Buy from eBay sellers shipping from US (mostly from California), which is actually what we did. Normal shipping time (a few days) and haven't been scammed so far. :)

We bought some on eBay too so I think you can trust most sellers there. If in doubt please email me the eBay link so I can double check it.
when you ordered from china on ebay do they say it will ship 15 days after the purchase date ? even after that they say it might take 30 days before it arrives etc.. This is why i haven't ordered the tk102-2 from ebay .. Is this normal ordering from china, or is it a scam ?

TK102-2 is about half of TK104's length, width, height, therefore 1/8 volume of TK104. We tested it as well. It usually requires higher quality of the sky view than TK104 which is understandable because it has a smaller built-in antenna.

I have been reading as much as i can on these TK trackers etc.. especially about the TK102-2 it supposedly has motion sensor built in etc as well . I would post a link but not sure if allowed .. Its hard to know which vender to Trust on flea bay. I know i can trust accutracking vs a china vender on Flea Bay.. but since you posted on starter kit Tk104 now i am reading up on this one as much as i can..I personally like the TK102-2 size etc.. not sure it its the same size as the TK104.. Does your contact have the TK102-2 to where he could shed some light on this unit ? and maybe you could sell this in your starter kit option as well etc.. I would asume all units would be a like .

I just tested on TK103A and TK104, yes they can be configured to update every 10 seconds even though their manual recommend no less than 20 seconds. Haven't tested TK102 but I would assume the same.

I thought the Tk102 would update on accutracking just like the i425 every 10sec in full screen ? Yes or NO ?
If you would of said that the Tk104 would update every 10 sec like the I425 phone does now on accutracking . I would of ordered in a heartbeat ..

Correction to my previous post, I said TK103A has no built-in battery, actually it has a small built-in battery that can last a few hours. I've edited my post to correct that.

JUNIOR1 wrote: Will accutracking update every 10sec in full screen with the TK104 GPS vehicle tracker ?
yes or No ? I would like to keep tracking every 10sec like my i425 phone. This is the main concern to be able to track live. I dont want to purchase the Tk104 if it does not update every 10 sec on accutracking .
Most trackers won't update that fast and their User's Manual the minimum is 20s.

I have seen online where they sell the TK-102B Hardwired Car Charger for TK-102. Will this charger work for the Tk104 ?
No it won't work. Our TK104 comes with wall charger and car charger.
