Important Notice: Verizon Email‑to‑Text Shutdown Affecting Text Alerts to Verizon Phones

by ATSupport » Wed Apr 15, 2026 3:17 pm

Verizon has begun shutting down its legacy vtext.com and vzwpix.com email‑to‑text services. As this shutdown progresses, messages sent through these gateways may stop working at any time.

Because our alert system relies on this service to deliver SMS messages to Verizon numbers, text alerts to Verizon Wireless customers no longer function.

✔ Alternative: Use Push Notifications in Our Mobile App

To continue receiving alerts, we recommend enabling push notifications through our mobile app.

How to enable push notifications:
  1. Open the mobile app (to install: search for AccuTracking in Google Play or App Store).
  2. Tap the gear icon at the bottom of the map.
  3. Go to Account Settings > Alert Settings > Push Notification.
  4. Tap Subscribe this device.
Once subscribed, your device will receive alerts directly through the app.

If you need help setting this up, feel free to contact us and we’ll assist you.
