It does work on Windows 7 but it takes a bit time to make the driver work. I don't remember the exact steps but let Windows detect your phone first, and when it asks for installing driver, provide the folder that contains the unzipped driver files.

Windows 7 not compatible?

I had been loading AccuTracking into Boost i425, i290 and i335 phones for a long time now. I had been using a Dell computer with Windows XP until now to load AccuTracking into the phones via data cable. Recently my Dell computer froze and I was forced to buy a new computer. I bought a Compaq with Windows 7 installed.

I downloaded iDENJAL from AccuTracking's website and installed it into my new Compaq computer. I also downloaded and unzipped AccuTracking.jad and AccuTracking.jar. Then I connected my phone to the computer with the data cable. It tried to recognize the phone (i290) but couldn't and said I need to install drivers. It gave a link to Motorola's website to install the drivers. I clicked on the link and tried to install but I ended up with a message saying drivers could not be installed because newer versions of the drivers are already installed.

I then opened the iDENJAL application I just installed. I tried clicking on "Connect To Phone" and "Download...". I got a message saying "The phone is not responding. Please check your connections and make sure the phone is on. You may need to turn the phone off and then on." I tried turning phone off and on many times. That didn't work. The USB cable is good. I had been using this same cable on my Dell computer that had Windows XP. I also tried a fresh USB cable. Still didn't work.

I suspected the iDENJAL application I downloaded and installed from AccuTracking's website may have been faulty and may have had corrupt drivers. So I uninstalled iDENJAL and downloaded and installed iDENJAL from Motorola's website. It is still not working. I'm getting the same message I gave above.

At this point I'm exhausted and don't know what is wrong. Why didn't Windows 7 recognize the phone when I connected it to my computer? I remember Windows XP had instantly recognized the phone when I started using it few years ago. What's going on here? Can anyone help?
