You are correct. Once the battery got significantly charged and a good signal, it will restart. it just sometimes takes a while. thanks!!

The phone might have forced the GPS chip into "sleep" mode when battery goes low. It may also require the battery to be recharged back to a certain level to "auto turn on", or require a reboot. Just a guess. I mean, it could be the behavior of the firmware.

Accutracking & Auto Start When Battery Dies

by e5usmc » Sat Nov 21, 2009 2:36 pm

I have the Accutracking running "Covert" on my son's Blackberry Pearl, 3 minute intervals, Auto Start is on as is Smart Sending. It seems whenever the battery gets real low so the radio is turned off or goes dead completely, once recharged Accutracking will not automatically restart but I have to get the phone and pull the battery out for a couple of seconds then re-install it and once it goes through the power up cycle, Accutracking will start back up. Anyone have the same problem? I was hoping by recharging the battery it would automatically restart but it doesn"t seem to do that.

Any thoughts?
