Why is AccuTracking so good?

Kudos on the great work!

Although I don't get why you have so much success in getting a fix. I have the i730 and many times it has a real hard time getting a location fix with the built-in application. I even wrote my own Java app but it also suffers from the same problems. It tends to time out while acquiring the initial fix (although subsequent fixes <15 seconds apart work fine).

AccuTracking doesn't seem to have this problem at all! It always gets the initial fix within 30 seconds. Great stuff, but how did you manage to pull off something even Motorola doesn't seem to be able to?

I also noticed that when AccuTracking starts up you have real-time updates on the number of satellites used. Is that part of the standard Java API, I can't find anyway to have that done in real-time?
