I have been having the same problems. I have also had problems with Telenav.

I have done some homework on http://www.howardforums.com and have seen threads that are calling it a clock error in the phones for the GPS signal.

More info can be found here.
http://www.sustainableworld.com/y2kgps/ ... index.html

I just used acctracking on my phone and it said I had 6 satelites, but could not get a fix on my location.

Then, I hit send location, the phone froze, and the shut down and then powered back on.

So if you experience this, then this is what the problem may be for you too.

you can download direct from nextel from the following link, if that's easier for you:

http://www.idenupdate.com/DRHM/servlet/ ... ID=9785900

Specs:

Data Memory 48k
Program Memory 78k

You can follow the same instructions after downloading the JAR and JAD file from http://www.reqwireless.com/download-webviewer.html

It will use the Total Connect. Try and see if you can connect out.
is the instructions the same as the accutracking application?
not sure which file type to select in the mobile application manager

About 5 of your clients never showed up in our log so I am sure there were no connection was made successfully.

I am going to search for a phone testing tool to test the network. Wait...

How about uninstall and reinstall AccuTracking. Or (only as the last resort) do a phone master reset.

the cell and direct connect part of the phone work fine as well.
im running out of ideas and my boss is getting angry. :(

Private IPs are ok. So maybe one IP segment on Nextel network is down (e.g. 10.185.55.*). See if they can ping you.

by ksea » Mon Jul 12, 2004 3:47 pm

could that be the issue? the fact that it is a private ip?
doies it need to be public?
how bout this ip.
10.144.94.140

this phone works fine

by ATSupport » Mon Jul 12, 2004 3:39 pm

So it's a Nextel internal IP and looks all right. I would suggest to call Nextel, asking them to ping this IP. We cannot ping since it's a private IP.

by ksea » Mon Jul 12, 2004 3:33 pm

it says cannot connect and it gave a time.
there is a carrier ip. it is 10.185.55.25

hmm...:o SMS and phone browser are different. What was the error message in AccuTracking, "Cannot fix" or "Cannot connect"? Can you check the phone IP? Quit Accutracking->Press menu key->My Info->Carrier IP. Is there a IP shown?
